The Voice New Testament is Here!

I am very excited and extremely proud of everyone on the team. The Voice New Testament shipped this past week and it looks (and more importantly it reads) fantastic. Wow.

Voice_nt_cloth

I appreciate Chris Seay's original vision, the team's execution and especially Frank Couch's diligence, patience, skill and overall management of the project. I know it will bring people to Christ and bring people to God's word in a fresh and new way.

For those of you who don't know, the Voice is a new Bible translation. It began as a creative idea from Chris Seay and it brings the best of many artistic and scholar worlds together to create a thoroughly readable and interesting read through Holy Scriptures. It's not a paraphrase, but a true translation that richly captures the orignal author's "voice". The writers have also included additional helpful notes or sidebars that puts you, the reader, into the scene and experience of the New Testament and the story of Christ.

If you would like a review copy for a review, please let me know. I will send the first 100 of you a free copy and look forward to your Blog's review.

I work in a Christian Bookstore (large chain)… I check in all the merchandise in the store, so I get to see everything first. While this can be deadly to my wallet, lol, I am blessed to get to see so many wonderful books & Bibles. The one I am truly excited about is The Voice. This is a GREAT translation! I’ve only been able to skim through on a couple of my breaks, but what I have read has ignited a new excitement for re-reading the Word. I would love to receive a complimentary/preview copy, if I am fortunate enough; however, it WILL be my first purchase once I can set aside the money if I cannot get the preview offer. I am looking forward to selling this translation to my customers. I highly recommend it to everyone that would like to curl up and enjoy just reading God’s word and soaking it in – highly readable, and easier to ‘picture’/remember in your mind. A great accomplishment.

The opportunity to review, moreover discover this text would be great. As a youth I am constantly looking for a way to make the Bible seem less intimidating for the post moderns that surround me. God’s word told as the literary masterpiece that it is, while remaining true to the text sounds like it might just be the answer.

  101. I would be very interested in a review copy of “The Voice”. From what I have read, it sounds like a project akin to the old Jerusalem Bible, brining in scholars and poets to produce a beautiful Bible text.
    I run the website http://www.stellarcross.org

    Thanks.

  110. Josh Moore says:

I would love to read and review The Voice! Is it too late?

  111. Shawn Gregoire says:

I believe that this bible is for the Emergents. I disagree with most of the stuff they say. There has been too much tolerence in the church today, and I am convinced that as more and more so called new translations come forth the Apostate Church is continuing to grow. We must live as Jesus said THE NARROW WAY. People do not need new translations to understand scripture they just need THE HOLY SPIRIT. It’s amazing to me that for 400+ years people used the KJV and had no trouble understanding but all of a sudden people can not understand. My prayer to all is that this so called Voice translation is not the Bible of choice to people, but the true voice of the Spirit they will hear.
    Christ’s Love to Us

  112. Andrew says:

I’ve read the gospel of John in “the voice” and compared it against the ESV as a literal translation, and at best the voice is a loose paraphrase. It’s not a translation. the amount of additional material that is added that is not in the original text is substantial, and ideas subtly changed. I think that this version of the bible will be the version that the emergent church uses to bolster its “theology”

  113. Jason Couch says:

I would LOVE to receive a free copy for review! Thank you!
